Your vote is your power

Happy Black History Month! One thing I love about our community is that we’re not afraid to use our voices and fight for what we believe in no matter what. African Americans have been in this country for over 400 years. We've helped build this nation. Today we continue the fight for equality and justice in every facet of our lives from the TV screen to the ballot box. This is OUR country, and as we head into the most critical elections of our lifetime this fall, I can’t think of a more powerful way to use our collective voices than to vote on November 3, 2020. Here’s the thing: Your vote is your power, your vote is your voice, and you deserve to be heard. I'M READY TO LEAD So join us! The elections in November will seriously be here before we know it. It’s time to get involved now, to step up and be a leader in your community. We’ll get you trained and ready to start helping everyone you know register and get out to vote.

Walker , astronaut Mae C. Jemison , open-heart surgeon Daniel Hale Williams , inventor Garret Morgan , media mogul Oprah Winfrey and "Father of Black History" Carter G. Woodson , who lobbied extensively to establish Black History Month as a nationwide celebration, among many others. Explore biographies, videos and articles that celebrate their historic achievements.  Fol...
