Summer is here and you are probably gearing up for at least a little time spent relaxing and vacationing with family and friends. At BWTE, we look forward to summer too because it means the launch of our annual "i Am Esteem" Day event and we’d like you to join us.

I Am Esteem Day:

Saturday, August 12, 2017 from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM (PST)

A global day celebrating diversity all around the world focusing on the achievements of our youth today, tomorrow and forever. I Am Esteem Day, will draw attention to the greatest civil rights fight of the 21st century: the need to provide every child with access to a life free from bullying and stamp out peer pressure.

In actuality, young voters find it more difficult to find out about elections, schedule time to cast a ballot, and even to be aware that they are taking place. Knowing the power of voting, we strive to make election and voting information as accessible as possible, while also acknowledging the obstacles that younger voters must overcome. We are meeting young Americans on social media, where more than 40% of them get their news. Young people's voices count, so we want them to understand the importance of voting.
