Attorney General Bonta Issues Statement on Supreme Court Order Denying R.J. Reynolds' Attempt to Block California's Flavored Tobacco Ban from Taking Effect
When Big Tobacco urged the Supreme Court to block California's commonsense ban on flavored tobacco products, California fought back. This week, the Supreme Court issued an order denying Big Tobacco’s dangerous attempt. At a time when tobacco is already the number one preventable killer in the United States and flavored tobacco products have hooked a new generation of young smokers, this is a big win for California and our children.
The voters of California approved this ban by an overwhelming margin in the November election and now it will finally take effect.
