Now it's your turn to sit in the director's chair. Choose one winning photo from each of the 10 storytelling themes to begin your filmic journey. Also watch the videos below to learn from last year’s Project Imagin8ion director, Bryce Dallas Howard, as she provides tips from her on-set experiences.
The 5 winning films will be chosen by Ron Howard, Bryce Dallas Howard and our judging panel to join the celebrity directors’ films as part of “A Ron Howard Presentation.” All 10 films will be screened at the highly-anticipated Canon Project Imaginat10n Film Festival, and each winner will also receive $5,000.

IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE STARTING

  • You must have permission to submit the film from ALL cast, crew and contributors to your film. You can download Likeness and Location Releases here.
  • The person submitting the film must be the director.
  • You must enter your film between June 4, 2013 and July 23, 2013.
  • Films must be 1 to 10 minutes in length (including no more than 2 minutes of credits).
  • Films will be judged based on inspired use of the 10 photos, originality, technical quality, and overall impression.
  • You must be at least 16 years old and a legal US resident to enter.
  • You must have permission to use any component of the film that is not owned by you including artwork, logos, music, other videos.
  • After submission, you may share your film publicly, but it cannot be used by another brand nor can you receive payment for its distribution until September 30, 2013. See Official Rules for additional limitations.
